The present invention is an equalizing method of an adaptive multimodulus to be used for an equalizer, which includes the steps as follows, to store an input signal and to set the initial value of an equalizing coefficient; the calculate out the price function value, the adjusting volume of equalizing coefficient and to refresh the equalizing coefficient by utilizing the fixed modules operation and the equalizer output signal; to count up the modulus of each section in next stage of multimodulus operation according to the equalizer output signal; to switch into multimodulus operation when the price function value is reached to the first threshold, to input the signal by utilizing the storage and to repass through the said equalizer.
