The sliding doors 10, 11 of a cabinet are each suspended by cantilever brackets 12 secured to the doors and slidably engaging guide channels 17 of a trackway secured to the top of the cabinet so that under the action of the turning moment of the door about the brackets the door is maintained pressed against the lower part of the cabinet which is provided with a rubbing strip 19 of fibre or nylon, the brackets and track being of nylon. Bearing pads 20, 21 of fibre or nylon and rubber buffers 22, 23 are also provided. In a modification, Fig. 5, the cantilever bracket has a jaw 30 into which is snapped a beaded edge 31 on the trackway.
