A blend of block copolymers comprises a triblock copolymer (A) and a diblock copolymer (B) (5 - 20, preferably 7 - 17 wt.%). (A) And (B) are obtained by polymerization of styrene and isoprene. The molecular weights of (A), (B) and polystyrene blocks are 165000 - 250000 (preferably 168000 - 190000), 88000 - 95000 (preferably 10000 - 13000), and 9000 - 14000 (preferably 10500 - 11500) respectively. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a packaging tape adhesive composition (C1) comprising (wt.%): the blend of block copolymers, at least one tackifying resin (50 - 120, preferably 100 - 110); optionally naphthenic oil or paraffinic oil (0 - 10); and optionally an antioxidant and/or other auxiliaries (0.1 - 10); and (2) a packaging tape comprising (C1) and substrate layer.
