摘要 PURPOSE: Provided are a lithium-cobalt composite oxide obtained by heating a mixture of lithium compound and a cobalt compound and a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having enhanced discharging characteristic. CONSTITUTION: The composite oxide comprises a mixture of lithium compound and cobalt compound to discharge NH3 in amount of 0.1 to 5wt.% by heating the mixture to 500 deg.C. The cobalt compound is preferably cobalt oxyhydroxide. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises anode(3) containing the lithium-cobalt composite oxide as anode activating material; cathode(2); separator(1); and non-aqueous electrolyte(7). The anode is formed by applying anode assembly comprising the activating material, conductive material, binder and, optionally filler on anode current collector(4).
