PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of incapability of loading in mass quantity, slow carrying speed, and generation of rust on rails that is fatal, though they can be carried on an exposed mechanical hatch cover on a vessel or a barge, for rail length applied for tracks that has become as long as 75m to meet demands for more comfort and safety to high speed and oscillation of trains to replace conventional maximum standard rail length of 25m to be used for tracks. SOLUTION: A cargo hold 2 has a box-like (rectangular) form for achieving favorable loading efficiency, and enabling cargo transport in mass quantity, and it has length of 0.6L, and length of 0.6B, to a hull 1 (L is length between perpendicular lines, and B is width of the vessel). The cargo hold 2 has at least 6 gunwale tanks 3 in each gunwale to reduce probability of leaking. In a forward-rearward void space 4, the position of the center of gravity of the cargo hold 2 is set to a floating center position of the hull 1. Even in a case of leaking in the cargo hole 2, trim/heel states are not generated, or minimized, thereby probability of survival is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
