<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fixability and sealing capability of a plurality of fuel cell separators and to reduce cost in relation to a fuel cell separator made of carbon that constitutes a solid polymer fuel cell, and a gasket therefor. <P>SOLUTION: Grooves 3a, 3b are formed in sealing surfaces of fuel cell separators 1a, 1b that respectively correspond to an inner periphery side part and the opposite outer periphery side part of a gasket 2 formed in a circular shape. An adhesive 4 is applied to the grooves 3a, 3b to allow the inner periphery side part and the outer periphery side part of the gasket 2 to adhere to the grooves 3a, 3b, respectively. This eliminates the need for a large contact pressure for the gasket 2 and makes it possible to prevent damage without placing a burden on the counterpart sealing surface. Also, no fatigue-associated loosening of the gasket 2 is generated because of the structure formed by fastening by sizing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
