<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted internal combustion engine capable of avoiding sulfuric acid corrosion by preventing condensation of water vapor in emission gas in EGR line or EGR valve or the like generated during operation stop of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle-mounted internal combustion engine 1 provided with an EGR line 11 for recirculating exhaust gas, an EGR valve 12 provided in the EGR line 11 and controlling EGR amount, and an EGR control device 41 controlling the EGR valve 12, the EGR control device 41 opens the EGR valve 12 and performs control for scavenging the EGR line 11 at the time of reducing vehicle speed and during idling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
