<p>The apparatus locks a pivotal part such as a hood which is closed against the force of an elastomeric bearing, to the chassis. The apparatus has a plate (1) fastened on the chassis side and having a U shaped bracket in the middle as a bearing. A hook of the lock of the pivotal chassis part can be fixed to a leg of this U shaped bearing so that in the closed position a force acts on the bearing which is parallel to the plate. The plate has holes in its ends, which are engage loosely by a sleeve (6). The ends of the plate are covered by elastomeric bearings (7) also provided with holes. The plate is fastened to the chassis by e.g. screws, which engage the sleeves (6). The ends of the sleeves facing each other have collars (8,9) which rest against the top and bottom of the elastomeric bearings and hold the bearings between them under tension.</p> |
