A sheet guide system for a rotary press has the sheets stacked with overlapping edges on a conveyor (1). An upper control guide (6) has a control bar between side supports rotating in synchronism with the conveyor feed. The bar is fitted with elastic covered rollers and separate the stacked sheets for single sheet processing. An oscillating drive brings the elastic covered rollers into contact with the sheets once every print cycle, i.e. to push each sheet into the print process. The sheet handler is fitted with alignment markings (2) to ensure a correct feed into the print rollers.
