Character strings for selecting received electronic mails are registered in a mail server apparatus (600). When receiving an electronic mail addressed to the user of a mobile telephone (700), the mail server apparatus (600) uses the character strings to select the electronic mail. When it is during a trial interval, the mail server apparatus (600) delivers the received electronic mail with a selection result added thereto. When it is after the trial interval, the mail server apparatus (600) retains, as a history, information about the received electronic mail, and periodically transmits the history to the mobile telephone (700).
