PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which prevents the resonating phenomenon of a shadow mask to allow to create a high-quality image in relation to a speaker device used in a video apparatus such as a television receiver and the video apparatus that employs it. SOLUTION: The speaker device prevents the resonating phenomenon of a shadow mask 5 to allow the high-quality image by inputting an output signal from an amplifier that cuts with the band width of 1/8 octaves or less a frequency band that is in line with the resonant frequency of the shadow mask 5 in the interior of a cathode-ray tube 4 as an input signal through a speaker input code 10 to a speaker 1.
