PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for making ceramics porous which gives porous ceramics having spherical, uniform-sized and homogeneously dispersed burnt-out pores. SOLUTION: A spherical cellulosic particle is used which has a particle size of 5-3,000μm, a ratio of the major axis to the minor axis of the particle of 1-2 and a particle size distribution of≥3 in terms of the index of Rosin-Rammler distribution function.
