PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector whose terminal through hole cannot be inserted with a jig mistakenly when an engaging arm is released with the jig via a front holder. SOLUTION: A connecting terminal 15 whose upper portion has an engaging lance which prevents backward coming out of the connecting terminal 15, is inserted into a housing 11. The front holder 16 is engaged to the housing 11 for a direction of an axis of the housing 11 with engaging mechanism, and the front holder 16 can move in transverse direction which is orthogonal to the direction of the axis. Upper position of a pair of arm operating holes 18 and under position of a pair of the terminal through holes 17 to the same connecting terminal 15, are shifted side to side each other. In the first position of the front holder 16, the axis of the pair of the terminal through holes 17 coincides with the axis of the female connecting terminal 15 and the position of the pair of the arm operating holes 18 and position of the engaging arm are shifted side to side each other.
