PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remaining-amount to fuel detecting device, that can accurately detect the remaining amount of fuel in the fuel tanks of construction machines from large-sized ones to small-sized ones, even if the fuel tanks have various shapes. SOLUTION: A variable resistor 12 and a first fuel-detecting section 15 composed of an arm 13 rotatably fitted to the resistor 12 and a float 14 attached to the front end of the arm 13 are provided in a relatively upper part of a fuel tank 11. The fuel-detecting section 15 is installed so that the section 15 detects the maximum position of the remaining amount of fuel at the highest position of the float 14. In addition, a second fuel-detecting section 22, which integrates the fuel consumption of a construction machine obtained from the operating information of the machine and detects the remaining amount of fuel, based on the integrated fuel consumption, is provided so that the section 22 detects the remaining amount of fuel at the lowest position of the float 14.
