PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a video camera system in which a general memory has a capacitance margin, which is composed only of a general memory controller and in which economical efficiency is improved. SOLUTION: Digital image data are inputted to a semiconductor memory circuit G for images, the digital data stored in the semiconductor memory circuit G for images are read by a control circuit H. The semiconductor memory circuit G for images has a control signal generation apparatus N for outputting a control signal WAIT during read transfer or write transfer, and a general memory interface apparatus M for receiving a control signal (e) of a general semiconductor memory. While the control signal WAIT is not outputted, the control circuit H accesses the semiconductor memory circuit G for images according to the control signal (e) of the general semiconductor memory.
