PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit with a parking mechanism capable of having the parking mechanism mounted inside a case even when there is no opening part on the case to be covered by a lid member. SOLUTION: The drive unit A1 with the parking mechanism has a first case 1 and a second case 2 connected to each other, and the parking mechanism 4 is positioned inside the case 1 for regulating rotations of a rotational member. In the first case 1, an opening part 1A is provided, formed by releasing a mold for forming the first case 1 from the first case 1 after the first case 1 is formed, and the parking mechanism 4 is positioned inside the first case 1 through the opening 1A.
