The chock has a tie rod (9) fixed by a suspension ring (3), and a two-armed pivot lever (7) fastened to it via a hinge pin (8). An eye (4,5,6) for the rope (2) is located at each end and between rod and ring. The right arm of the lever is shorter than the other one by the length of the tie rod, so that the rope is clamped between central and right eye, forming an S-loop, as long as the left rope end (13) is being pulled. The clamping hold is released, and the rope can be drawn through, when the right rope end (14) is being pulled, because an analogue S-loop is prevented by an end stop (10). The lever has grips (11,12) at both ends. |
