PURPOSE: Provided are fuel cell capable of efficiently regenerating fuel using secondary alcohol and ketone as the fuel, a process for regeneration of the fuel, and a process for generation of electric power. CONSTITUTION: The fuel cell comprises a fuel electrode(14) as anode, an air electrode(13) as cathode and electrolyte film(12) between both of the electrodes, and liquid fuel principally comprising secondary alcohol. The fuel electrode comprises at least one selected from a group consisting of ruthenium, tin, tungsten, copper, gold, manganese and vanadium and platinum in a form of alloy. The electric regeneration process comprises a first step of introducing the fuel to the fuel electrode; a second step of contacting oxidizing material to the air electrode to make the fuel electrode into (+) and the air electrode into (-) and to flow electrical current; and a third step of regenerating the operated fuel electrode. |
