A material handling work controller for industrial vehicle in which a material handling attachment is provided movably in the body. The material handling attachment is aligned, as it moves, with objects (41, 42) being handled. A material handling control section comprises a display, and a detector for detecting the position of the object being handled. A display control section displays positioning information, for assisting positioning of the material handling attachment with respect to the objects being handled, on a display based on the positional detection results of the detector.
