PURPOSE: A medium separation unit of an automated teller machine is provided to transfer respectively various kinds of media having different thickness by installing rotatably a separative roller for separating medium to a transfer roller, controlling a position of the separative roller within a predetermined range, and installing a spring for supporting elastically the separative roller to the transfer roller. CONSTITUTION: A medium separation unit of an automated teller machine includes a transfer roller(122), a separative roller(123), a first shaft(122a), a second shaft(123a), and an automatic elastic supporter. The first shaft(122a) is fixed to a frame(100). The transfer roller(122) is rotatably installed at the first shaft(122a). The separative roller(123) is fixed to the second shaft(123a). A position of the second shaft is controlled within a predetermined range. The automatic elastic supporter is used for supporting elastically the separative roller(123) to the transfer roller(122). |
