PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an offset voltage correcting device and its method requiring a less amount of data to be stored in a memory by storing in the memory data for the correction amount of offset voltage in the compressed condition. SOLUTION: The temperature of a semiconductor physical value sensor is detected by a temperature sensor 11a, and a restoration factor Vrs/(kT+b) is calculated in accordance with a value kT+b calculated from the detected temperature T and a function expression and reference offset voltage Vrs. A correction data Vr'(T) at the detected temperature T is read out of a storage element 12a. By multiplying the read correction data Vr'(T) by the restoration factor Vrs/(kT+b), the correction amount of the offset voltage at the detected temperature T is calculated, and by subtracting the correction amount from the output voltage of the semiconductor physical value sensor, the offset voltage is corrected.
