PURPOSE: A hands-free device of a car with an automatic response function is provided to add an automatic response function except a hands-free function, and to respond to an originated call with an automatic response message, thereby preventing accidents caused by unnecessary calls. CONSTITUTION: A response switch(140) selects an automatic response function. The first voice memory(120) stores an automatic response message. The second voice memory(130) stores a voice message of an originator. When a call is received on a cellular phone(200) while the response switch(140) is operated, a controller(180) reproduces the automatic response message stored in the first voice memory(120), responds to the call, and stores the voice message of the originator in the second voice memory(130). A reproduction switch(150) reproduces the voice message of the originator stored in the second memory(130). When the reproduction switch(150) is operated, the controller(180) reproduces the stored voice message, and enables a user to listen to the voice message through a speaker(114).
