PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital zooming skin diagnosing device which picks up an image of a subject 10 by less operations and a simple explanation, and can accurately determine parameters of the skin with less operation errors in a short period of time. SOLUTION: Only one piece of a high resolution color image of the total face of the subject 10 is picked up by a digital camera 13 of six million pixels. Image data for a plurality of treatment regions is cut off from the one piece of the picked up image data, and parameter values for the skin are calculated. An expanded image 103 of the treatment region is displayed on a monitor screen, and an analysis line 109 overlapped with the expanded image 103 is dragged by a mouse, and the positions of the analysis line 109 is set. Thus, a graph 104 of the density distribution along the analysis line 109 is displayed together with the expanded image 103 side by side. On the graph 104 for the density distribution, threshold values are displayed, and parameters for the texture of the skin are calculated by counting a crossing number with the density distribution while applying a hysteresis to the threshold values.
