PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain more information than that of conventional hybridization. SOLUTION: The hybridization comprising a process for hybridizing a plurality of immobilized spots such as oligonucleotides, etc., formed on a substrate with an unlabeled DNA or RNA fragment having sequence length different from sequence length of a probe immobilized on the spots and, after the completion of the hybridization process, a reaction process for forming a complementary strand at a non-complementary strand part by a coenzyme requiring a template and a primer, in which a labeled substance for indicating formation of at least the complementary strand is added as a component.
