Display for control desk of film extrusion plant has plant elements, e.g. extruders, wind-up, shown in two-dimensional arrangement

The control desk includes a display screen with the various plant elements, e.g. extruders (1), film nozzle (2), wind-up (8a, 8b), shown in two dimensions approximating to their relative positions. The display can be a simple plan view or a perspective plan view, with the nozzle (2) and bubble (3) in elevation. The wind-ups are shown below the extruders and granule hoppers (14) and their metering units can also be included. An Independent claim is also included for the process of operating a film extrusion plant using a control desk with a display of this kind. The elements that are operating outside set limits can be highlighted in red.
