<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the dust content of by-product gas such as blast furnace gas to that of air or lower. <P>SOLUTION: The method for reducing the dust content of by-product gas comprises the following process. Blast furnace gas subjected to initial dust removal is subjected to primary dust removal by a single-purpose electrostatic precipitator, heated and humidified by blowing steam or high-temperature water via a spray nozzle 9 thereinto, and quenched through a cooling water duct 10 to condense the steam therein, thereby the particulate dust in the blast furnace gas is taken in mist produced, and the resulting mist is removed from the blast furnace gas through a filter 11 to effect secondary dust removal of the gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
