METHOD FOR STREAMING MULTIMEDIA DATA AND SYSTEM USING THE SAME

A method for providing a multimedia data streaming service and a system using the same are provided to enable broadcasting terminals connected to a VOD(Video On-Demand) server to transceive multimedia data with each other through a P2P(Peer to Peer) type streaming service by providing broadcasting recording list information stored in a broadcasting receiver equipped with a storage medium. A VOD server(10) receives recording list information from clients(20-40) and provides the recording list information to a plurality of clients connected through the network. The client transmits multimedia data corresponding to the selected recording list information to the client selecting the recording list information through a streaming server when one of the recording list information is selected by the other client. The server deletes list information of illegal data and bills a charge to the client receiving the selected multimedia data before the multimedia data is transceived.
