<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a keyboard musical instrument on the whole while securing excellent playing operability. <P>SOLUTION: A lid and stand 3 is turnably fitted to a bottom plate 2a of a lower case 2 on a turning shaft part 4. When in use, the musical instrument is mounted on an installation surface G while the lid and stand 3 is stood, and then the lid and stand 3 functions as a leg body to support the musical instrument by an abutment surface 2b of the lower case 2 and the lid and stand 3, so that the top surface WKa of a white key WK becomes nearly horizontal to the installation surface G suitably for playing operation. A connection cord 5 is drawn out of a storage part SP through a gap GA. When the lid and stand 3 is laid for nonuse, an external surface 3a2 of the lid and stand 3 becomes nearly level with a reverse surface 2a2 of the bottom plate 2a and then a musical instrument rear part becomes shorter by the length of the lid and stand 3 as compared with the height when the musical instrument is used.
