PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality thermal head capable of forming clear images, and a thermal printer using the same. SOLUTION: In the thermal head, a head substrate with many heating resistors and many circuit conductors on an upper face, and a wiring board with many wiring conductors on an upper face are annexed to form a gap between both. Moreover, the above many circuit conductors and many wiring conductors are electrically connected by metal thin wires, and these metal thin wires are coated in common by a strip-shaped resin material. A part of the resin material is extended to a lower face of the head substrate and a lower face of the wiring board via the gap between the head substrate and the wiring board. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
