<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material excellent in texture preservability, in which the texture is hardly discolored. <P>SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording material having at least one recording layer containing on a support an electron donating colorless dye and an electron accepting compound, the recording layer, during printing, contains a tertiary amine compound, represented by formula, which does not develop color reacting with the electron accepting compound. In the formula, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each independently an alkyl group or an aryl group. At least one of R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>is the aryl group.
