DIELECTRIC LOADED ANTENNA ASSEMBLY, ARRAY ANTENNA INSTRUMENT, AND RADIO COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric loaded antenna assembly with radiation directional characteristic which is not limited to the direction of a placement of the antenna assembly itself. SOLUTION: A radiation wave guide 7 is formed in a power supply waveguide 4 and its ends by conductor substrates 11 and 12, and a dielectric loading antenna 10 is configured with a loaded dielectric 8 formed of dielectric pillars on a radiating aperture 107 of the radiating wave guide 7. Herewith, an emitting surface of the loaded dielectric 8 is made a tilted surface S1 tilting against the surface vertical to the axis of the loaded dielectric 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
