<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspecting apparatus of paper cups for accurately determining defects according to a relation in a level in the area of the defects regardless of the shape of the defects. <P>SOLUTION: The paper cup inspecting apparatus comprises an imaging means for imaging the inner surface of the paper cup so that the packing section of the paper cup is in a vertical segment shape (a bottom sticking section is in a horizontal segment shape) to generate an image; a vertical (horizontal) maximum value filter processing means for performing processing for applying the vertical (horizontal) maximum value filter to the imaged image to generate a vertical (horizontal) maximum value filter processing image or a horizontal maximum value filter; a vertical (horizontal) minimum value filter processing means for performing processing for applying the vertical (horizontal) minimum value filter to the vertical (horizontal) maximum value filter processing image to generate the vertical (horizontal) filter processing image; and a vertical (horizontal) differential processing means for performing the differential processing between the imaged image and the vertical (horizontal) filter processing image to generate a vertical (horizontal) defect candidate image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
