PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary locking device for a sliding door preventing easy peeling of an attachment plate part from an indoor sliding door even when external force is applied from an exterior sliding door, and allowing unlocking operation in a single operation by one finger. SOLUTION: The auxiliary locking device for the sliding door is provided with the attachment plate part 4 which can be attached to an indoor side face of the indoor sliding door 2, a link member 5 with a base end part pivotally attached to one end part of the attachment plate part 4 in a state energized in a direction superposing on the attachment plate part 4, a lock plate 6 with a base end part pivotally attached to a tip of the link member 5, and a latch part 7 provided on the attachment plate part 4 for detachably latching a tip of the lock plate 6. When the tip of the lock plate 6 is latched on the latch part 7, a locked state is provided wherein the lock plate tilts with respect to the attachment plate part 4 and the link member 5 is erected toward an indoor side. An extended portion 20 extending more toward a base end side of the lock plate 6 than a pivotal attachment point with the link member 5 is provided in the base end part of the lock plate 6.
