PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing polyurethane beads, enabling the size distribution of the beads to be controlled as desired and capable of diminishing an unfavorable reaction between a polyisocyanate compound and water. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polyurethane beads comprises the following process. A mixed liquid comprising the polyisocyanate compound, a polyhydroxy compound, water and a dispersant is subjected to centrifugal force and shearing force to disperse an organic layer comprising the polyisocyanate compound and the polyhydroxy compound in an aqueous phase comprising the dispersant and water in the form of microparticles, and a reaction between the polyisocyanate compound and the polyhydroxy compound is then carried out.
