The phantom (1) has a base (2) to transmit ultrasound waves to imitate a part of a human body. The base unit has a storage portion (3a) with a small width connected to another storage portion (3b) with a great width. Internal organ models (4-6) are stored in the storage portions for imitating human internal organs. A jelly-like unit (7) is filled around the internal organ models to transmit ultrasound waves. An independent claim is also included for a method to manufacture an ultrasound phantom.
