PURPOSE: A terminal device for use in a financial transaction is provided to rapidly process the card payment when the user utilizes the terminal device for use in a financial transaction. CONSTITUTION: A terminal device for use in a financial transaction includes an operational unit(11), a card reader(12), a fingerprint scanner(13), a fingerprint processing unit(16a), a card transaction processing unit(16b) and a displaying unit(14). The operational unit(11) receives the operational signal of the user. The card reader(12) reads the card information from the storage media. The fingerprint scanner(13) outputs the image of the fingerprint by scanning the fingerprint of the user. The fingerprint processing unit(16a) extracts the feature points of the image by receiving the image of the fingerprint from the fingerprint scanner(13) to encode the extracted feature points. The card transaction processing unit(16b) processes the requested transaction and stores the encoded fingerprint data and the transaction results to the fingerprint/card transaction information database. And, the displaying unit(14) displays the operational signal and the transaction process results. |
