PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mill roll capable of being easily ground without needing equipment cost, and to provide a multiple rolling mill using the mill roll. SOLUTION: The roll 1 has four shape portions, i.e., an extension barrel portion A mainly consisting of a small diameter part not in contact with a reinforcement roll even at any shift position by a sextic function defined by seven points from one side to the other in the axial direction of the roll, a cylindrical roll portion B in contact with the reinforcement roll, a gradually reducing portion C with the diameter gradually reducing from an end part of the cylindrical roll portion B, and a gradually increasing portion D with the diameter gradually increasing from an end part of the gradually reducing portion C.
