STACKED BELT RING INSPECTION METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for surely detecting a very small defect generated in the end face of the stacked belt ring and simultaneously automatically detecting the size of the defect as well. SOLUTION: This inspection device for detecting a defect of the end face of the stacked belt ring includes: a microphotographic camera for imaging the end face of the belt ring and varying the focal distance; and a driving means for moving the microphotographic camera toward the end face of the belt ring. The device further includes: an image processing means for generating three-dimensional image from the imaging data of the microphotographic camera; and a display means for displaying three-dimensional data obtained by relatively circulating and moving the stacked belt ring and the microphotographic camera relatively, and simultaneously moving the focal point of the microscope to image the end face of the belt ring. Thus, the depth and number of defects in the end face of the stacked belt ring can be detected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
