<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the yield of hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: A combustion catalyst part 7, a reforming catalyst part 9 which carries out the reforming reaction while heated by the catalytic reaction in the combustion catalyst part 7, a hydrogen separation membrane 11 which permeates hydrogen to separate in the reformed gas by the reforming catalyst part 9, a hydrogen passage 13 where the hydrogen permeating through the hydrogen separation membrane 11 passes through are successively laminated to form one body. The apparatus has such a structure that: the flow direction of the fuel gas in the reforming catalyst part 9 is parallel to the flow direction of hydrogen in the hydrogen passage 13; the volume of the reforming catalyst part 9 is gradually decreased from the entrance 9a of the reforming catalyst part 9 to the exit 9b; and the volume of the hydrogen passage 13 is gradually increased from the entrance 13a of the hydrogen passage 13 to the exit 13b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
