Device for slowing the flow of traffic approaching a controlled speed zone. Said device traffic lights (4), or other control means, commanded by a control electronics (5) together with vehicle sensors (1) placed upstream of the system. The control electronics do not change the traffic lights to go until a time has elapsed corresponding to that at which a slowing approaching vehicle would have reached a legal speed for entering the controlled speed zone.
