<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize power saving of portable communication terminal in a navigation system, using the portable communication terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The portable communication terminal 202, indicating gap information, and a navigation server 208 containing map information are connected by a communication means. A control means 105 of the portable communication terminal 202 controls the switching of indication/non-indication of map information on a display 103, according to the present position during route guide.
