PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer which can easily and quickly turn over and wind a medium halfway part around two or more rollers at a platen front part. SOLUTION: Two or more rollers 30 for winding the halfway part of the medium 20 to be sent to a platen 10 in a manner to traverse and turn over the medium halfway part are supported detachably to the front part of the platen 10 of the side to which the medium 20 is sent, with their supporting position being made adjustable. When winding the medium 20 halfway part around the two or more rollers 30, the unnecessary roller 30 which becomes an obstacle at an initial stage is removed from the platen 10 front part, so that the medium halfway part can be easily and quickly wound around the remaining rollers 30. Thereafter, the roller 30 removed at the initial stage is fitted again to the platen 10 front part to traverse a predetermined portion of the medium 20 halfway part wound around the remaining rollers 30.
