PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new imide silicone resin readily forming a cured resin film having excellent solvent resistance, humidity resistance, durability, etc., by heat treatment and to provide a method for producing the resin. SOLUTION: The imide silicone resin is an addition reaction product of an organopolysiloxane having two hydrogen atoms bound to silicon atom in one molecule with an imide compound having two addition reaction-active olefinic carbon-carbon double bonds in one molecule and has a structure (1).
