PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe antimicrobial agent composition having high activities and a wide antimicrobial spectrum. SOLUTION: The antimicrobial agent composition contains a poly[oxyethylene(dimethyliminio)ethylene(dimethyliminio)ethylene dichloride] and at least one kind of compounds selected from the group consisting of the following compounds (a) to (d): (a) 1-[[(3-iodo-2-propynyl)oxy]methoxy]-4-methoxybenzene; (b) 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one; (c) 1,2-dibromo-2,4-dicyanobutane; and (d) 2-(4-thiazolyl)benzimidazole.
