PURPOSE: A control device for a vehicle position-sensing lamp is provided to turn on a parking light or a tail light of a vehicle by automatically detecting the quantity of peripheral light and to automatically turn off the parking and tail lights when the vehicle stops. CONSTITUTION: A control device for a vehicle position-sensing lamp is composed of a starting sensor(S1) for detecting a starting of a vehicle; a light quantity measuring sensor(S2) for measuring the quantity of light outside the vehicle; a vehicle speed sensor(S3) for detecting if the vehicle travels or stops; and an electronic control unit(10) for turning on a tail light(L2) by magnetizing a second relay(RY2) as the vehicle travels and the quantity of peripheral light is lower than a pre-set reference and turning on a parking light(L1) by magnetizing a first relay(RY1) as the vehicle stops. The electronic control unit turns off the parking and tail lights when the starting of the vehicle is turned off.
