METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MECHANICALLY BALANCING DISC PACK ON HDD

PURPOSE: A method and a device for mechanically balancing a disc pack on an HDD(Hard Disk Driver) are provided to balance the disc packs by using counter balances generating no pollution problem without requiring a process limited to a unit. CONSTITUTION: For a balancing operation to an open screw hole, the disc pack is analyzed. The balancing operation is performed to the open screw hole. For a balancing operation step, a mechanical counter balance for the open screw hole is selected in order to generate the selected counter balance of entire mass if a balancing activity is decided to the open screw hole(1032). If the balancing activity is decided to the open screw hole, the selected counter balance is inserted into the open screw hole until at least partially balanced disc pack is generated by fixing the mechanical counter balance to the open screw hole(1042).
