PURPOSE: A method for editing a polygon expressing a vector image is provided to decide cross points of 2 polygons when a graphic editor draws a new polygon in a region of an original polygon, and to replace a section of the original polygon with a section of the newly drawn polygon, thereby quickly editing the polygon. CONSTITUTION: A system compares paths of an original polygon(101) and a newly drawn polygon(102), and searches cross points of the paths. If the number of the cross points is three or more than three, the system ignores a central cross point 2, and selects both end cross points 1 and 3. The system separates the original polygon(101) from the newly drawn polygon(102) by making the two cross points as boundaries, and removes parts between the two cross points 1 and 3 from the original polygon(101). The system removes the rest parts outside of the cross points from the newly drawn polygon(102), and configures one polygon by connecting each polygon(101,102). |
