GLOSS PIGMENT FOR ADDITION TO RESIN, AND RESIN COMPOSITION AND FORMED RESIN ARTICLE COMPRISING THE SAME

A gloss pigment for adding to a resin which is specified by the specific surface area (S) (m<2>/g), the ratio (S/D) of a specific surface area (S) to an average particle diameter (D) (µm), and the ratio (t/D) of an average particle thickness (t) (µm) to an average particle diameter (D), wherein it comprises particles having (1) an S of 0.17X/Y to 0.7X/Y, wherein X represents a true specific gravity of aluminum, Y represents a true specific gravity of a material constituting the gloss pigment and, when the gloss pigment is composed of two or more materials, Y represents the sum of numerical values obtained by multiplying true specific gravities of respective materials by contents of respective materials, (2) an S/D of 0.001X/Y to 0.02X/Y, wherein X and Y are as defined above, and (3) a t/D of 1/30 to 1/3; and a formed resin article comprising the gloss pigment. The formed resin article is free from the defect in appearance due to weld marks and exhibits metallic feeling excellent in brightness and surface gloss feeling.
