Biodegradable empty rod for producing bores for concrete screws and plugs in concrete parts is made from starch. The calibrated empty rod with different dimensions is inserted in technologically required positions in concrete parts and construction bodies during their manufacture. After a defined time the empty rod decomposes to powder to release the required opening. The residual material can be composted.
