AUTOMATIC PLACING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLING SPREADER OF CRANE

PURPOSE: An automatic placing system and a method for automatically controlling a spreader of a crane are provided to accurately position the spreader on the upside of a container by connecting a laser sensor, a vision camera, and an infrared proximity sensor to an angle regulating unit connected with a main controller and to prevent the breakage and rattling of the container caused in transferring the container by automatically regulating to accurately combine a side guide of the spreader to a corner unit of the container. CONSTITUTION: An automatic placing system for automatically controlling a spreader of a crane is composed of a laser sensor(20) mounted to a side guide of the spreader with a vision camera(10) to measure distance between the spreader and the container; an installation judging unit(30') mounted to a guide frame to process data of plural infrared proximity sensors(30); an image processing unit(10') mounted to the side guide of the spreader to process data of the vision camera; a location identifying unit(40) for identifying the location information of the spreader by measuring the length of a rope of a head block connecting the spreader; an angle regulating unit(50) for regulating the angle of the side guide by processing data supplied from the location identifying unit, the image processing unit, the installation judging unit, and the laser sensor and; a main controller(60) for processing the data supplied from the angle regulating unit and controlling the crane; a guide driving unit(70) for driving the side guide to a signal transmitted from the angle regulating unit; and an actuator driving unit(90) for regulating the angle of the vision camera by driving a cylinder of an actuator mounted with the vision camera to the signal transmitted from the angle regulating unit.
